Guided tours

General guided tour

One of the museum’s knowledgeable guides will lead a guided tour around the manor house and give an historical account of Gammel Estrup, the manor’s interiors and its colourful gallery of characters. Guided tours are tailored to individual groups and last about an hour.

Themed tours about ‘The Wild Count’

This guided tour focusses on ‘the wild count’, Jørgen Scheel’s private rooms on the second floor of the manor house. Jørgen Scheel was a wealthy, colourful and convivial nobleman who, in the course of a few years, managed to jeopardise the entire family fortune through living a life of luxury, both abroad in Europe and at home in Denmark.
